History Rapscene launched in 1999 with a Vision to capture Hip Hop Online. Rapscene.com was the first Multi-Media Urban Music website to ever stream Live Interviews and live content of Gold and Platinum Urban Recording Artists online. Before Record Companies had Websites there was Rapscene.com. Interscope Records liked the idea and wanted to set up a meeting in which they would obtain 50% of Rapscene.com. We decided to stay Independent and work with all Record Labels, Major and Independent which is what we have been doing for 11 years. Rapscene quickly became aka.com #1 affiliate in 1999 and by 2001 was the first Urban Music website to be noted in The Nationally distributed book The Indie Bible as one of the top 100 websites for Artists to place their music on. Troy Alexander Rapscene CEO has worked as a VP for the Source Magazine and set up a 1 million dollar distribution deal to Latin Countries for Dave Mayes and Benzino. He has also headed the West Coast Sales Division for Rap Fanatic magazine and contributed content and Interviews.
